Nothing huge, nothing earthshattering, but I’m noticing that things are sliding with me. I’m way behind on my book-reading challenge. I’m glacially slow in getting stuff done with the house. I feel like I’m lagging at work.
I’m not sure what all is going on with me — but I’m aiming this week to tackle some projects and finish them.
- Started getting the coatrack on the wall — will finish that tonight.
- Still haven’t bought the wall cabinet for the laundry room — need to take care of that either this week or next.
- Need to buy fabric for the ottoman project still.
Those are the three projects I’ll be concentrating on, and taking on no further until they’re completed. I think I just bit off a bit more than I realized I could chew — and I refuse to beat myself up for it now. Just taking things a little more slowly.. following the path of the tortoise, hehe.
Got an awesome letter this weekend from the former resident Physician to the White House. Anna’s been invited to take part in a medical .. I don’t know.. field school? This summer. There’s several places around the country with different specializations. Really hoping that one of them deals with sports medicine. She’ll be so excited!
Added a Pinterest widget to the right side of my blog — that site is really like crack, but it’s so much fun, and has been the impetus behind a lot of my project ideas for the house.
Super duper excited about my brother Joe and his son Braydon moving down to Phoenix this year. I know mom is even more excited — it really really makes me want to get through the next couple of years (or sooner .. who can tell?) before I will be getting the ball rolling toward my own move to Phoenix. “Lord willin’ and the creek don’t rise”, I’ll be able to stay with Whirlpool and just transition to something down there — maybe at the Phoenix LDC. But that’s a big, gigantic, huge maybe. Like, font size 118 maybe.
